Class A CDL Line Haul

  • Operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances between customer service centers and customer facilities or work sites outside of the service center’s geographic area

  • Sort, handle, load, and/or unload freight at company and customer locations.

  • Following all traffic laws, DOT regulations and best practices for safety when delivering items

  • Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries

  • Meeting delivery deadlines and following assigned delivery routes

  • Performing basic truck maintenance, such as refueling, doing visual inspections and reporting potential issues

  • Preparing, loading and unloading the delivery vehicle

  • Providing exceptional customer service and obtaining client or customer signatures when needed

  • Completing any paperwork related to the deliveries and completing reports as required

  • Using additional equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks and dollies, as needed

Wage:

$20/hr+ or Depending on Experience

Requirements

  • Must have 12 months previous tractor trailer driving experience and/or be a graduate of a State Certified and Licensed truck driving school

  • Must have the ability to read, write speak English, and perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, maintain logs, etc.

  • Must have the ability to properly operate hand held mini-computer when required.

  • Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and extended periods, of time.

  • Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with double/triple trailers endorsements

  • Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.

  • Clean Background Check and Drug Test required
