MEET THE TEAM

SONYA LOPEZ

CEO

Sonya is the proud owner and CEO of Labor Etc LLC. A Fruita Monument High School and Colorado Mesa University alumni, she has seen the development of the Grand Valley through many lenses. Sonya joined Labor Etc. in May of 2017 where she quickly developed a passion for creating a stable job market for employees and supporting local businesses. One thing that has never wavered throughout her professional and personal development is giving back to the community. “Providing staffing and payroll services for businesses in the Grand Valley is so much bigger than just helping the economy. It has become the act of recognizing business owner's and employee's aspirations and assisting in achieving them.” In her free time, Sonya enjoys coaching basketball, playing golf, spending time with her two rescue pups, and supporting the CMU alumni association. She also is an active member of the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce.

KRIS COX

Director of Job Placement

Kris joined Labor Etc in September of 2006. Committed to the staffing industry for over 30 years, Kris has placed thousands of employees in many industries right here in the Grand Valley. He has witnessed as well as aided in finding employees and employers their perfect match. Kris has been dedicated to recruiting and Labor Etc for so long because "I see so many people from varying walks of life, achieve things they never thought were plausible until they came to Labor Etc. Building relationships with business owners has served as a great advantage in understanding different industries and finding proper applicants." Outside of work, Kris enjoys mountain biking, spending time with his children, his wife of 32 years, and COPMOBA where he has been an active member since 1989.

ROSA LOPEZ

Recruiter

Rosa joined Labor Etc. as a temporary worker in May of 2018. After graduating from CMU Rosa joined Labor Etc’s team as a recruiter in March of 2023. Rosa brings a unique perspective to the team as she has the experience of job searching and now does job placement. She joined Labor Etc because, “Being a temporary worker on my own journey many years ago, I did not know what to expect. Labor Etc. highlighted things about my work ethic that I carried all throughout college and now back into the business. It is my goal to provide others with the same guidance I was once given.” Rosa enjoys going boating, spending time with her pets, family and friends. She is a member of the CMU alumni association.
